BIOGRAPHY

My name is 08A4679 and I currently reside at Greenhaven Correctional Facility. Before I was WRONGFULLY CONVICTED, I was your average teenager driven, enthusiastic, and eager to explore the world. A few days after turning 18 yrs. old, I was snatched off the streets by Nassau County detectives and confined to a room where I was beaten and interrogated for the better part of 23 hours. Despite this traumatic experience I could not bring myself to confess to a crime I didn’t commit. I was later charged with MURDER in the second degree and detained in Nassau County jail. I was given a trial where my Due Process Rights, were VIOLATED. Prosecutors, Experts LIED and bolstered their testimony to match the D. A’s theory, and my trial attorney offered no defense representation, thus falling way below the threshold of effective representation and proficiency required in those areas of expertise. The Honorable Meryl Berkowitz entrusted to ensure justice, sat by while the agents of the court miscarried it. America is now seeing the other side to this “Criminal Just-us- system “where innocent men and women are being exonerated for crimes they have spent decades in prison for. In a Era where Criminal justice is a topic for reform where Meek Mill, Jay- z and countless others are speaking out, we all have a obligation to step up whether your are directly or indirectly affected. MASS INCARCERATION is GENERATIONAL GENOCIDE! Some might wonder how an innocent man can be tried by a jury and found guilty. I ponder this myself as the years went by….. I was 18 years old when they took my life, my name, and my dreams. I am now 30, having spent my entire 20’s in prison over 12 years I will never get back. As unique as the circumstances leading to my incarceration is countless men and women are in prison today for crimes they did not commit. We must therefore support these individuals on a case by case basis as we tackle the bigger issues of re-Entry and Reform. How can we fix a system while overlooking the innocent still trapped inside? FREE ME TILL YOU SEE ME!
